When Art Unites Hearts, Culture Moves: An Unforgettable Creative Evening in Galați

The warm spring evening of March 26, 2025, was another proof that the initiative Art&Culture helps,
launched by the Help Ukrainians Association in 2022, has already become a good tradition. The “Dumitru
Cuclin” Art High School in Galați, Romania, once again opened its doors to all those seeking inspiration,
warmth, and new experiences. This evening, like the previous events under the initiative, was filled with
beauty, harmony, and cultural unity.

Art as the Mirror of the Soul

Even before the concert began, guests had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of
creativity. The atmosphere of the event was set by an art workshop, where all those interested could try
their hand at painting. Under the guidance of @Mariya Kharchenko , who has dedicated herself to art for
many years, participants expressed their feelings through colors, leaving their emotional impressions on
the canvas.

Next, the guests were welcomed by an exhibition of paintings that became a true visual journey. The
works of Vladilena Mogilna, Maria Kharchenko, and professional artist Olena Selezneva (@ Selezneva
Art), created between 2022-2025, captivated attention. The paintings conveyed the charm of Romanian
cities, the grandeur of mountainous landscapes, and the delicate beauty of nature. These were not just
canvases but a bridge between cultures, linking Ukrainian, Romanian, and Moldovan traditions,
perspectives, and emotions.

Music That Touches the Soul

But the true heart of the evening was the music. Its enchanting sounds filled the hall, creating a unique
atmosphere. The star of the concert was Tudorel State, a tenor from the National Opera and Ballet Theater
“Nae Leonard.” His voice touched the audience, evoking sincere admiration from both Romanian and
Ukrainian listeners. His performance featured romances that spoke of love, longing, and hope. Ukrainian
folk songs “Divlyus’ ian nebo,” “V kintsi grebli shumliat’ verby,” and “Oi ti, divchino, z horikha zernia”
brought tears to the eyes of many attendees.

The atmosphere was further enhanced by performances from @Juliya Belyanevich (violin) and Lyudmila
Calalb (piano). Their music seemed to stop time – the hall became so silent that it felt as though the air
itself was listening to the enchanting sounds. They performed Alfred Schnittke’s “Suite in Ancient Style”
and Felix Mendelssohn’s “Violin Sonata,” showcasing fine craftsmanship and deep emotions.

Juliya Belyanevych, who also acted as the evening’s host, addressed the guests with special warmth,
creating a relaxed, almost familial atmosphere.

Surprises, Warmth, and Gratitude

The end of the evening was also filled with pleasant moments. The organizers thanked everyone who
contributed to the event – musicians, artists, spectators, and sponsors who help preserve and develop
culture. The Art&Culture helps initiative continues to seek resources and new sponsors to expand the
range of its events, allowing for the involvement of even more artists and creating new opportunities for
intercultural dialogue.

The project supports Ukrainians, providing them with opportunities for creative self-expression and
interaction with like-minded individuals. It is aimed at preserving cultural heritage and exchanging
traditions, uniting artists and spectators in the shared desire for artistic development.

A particularly pleasant surprise was the sweets from Ukrainian chocolatier Yulia Bezdenezhna
(@choco_sweets_vegan). Her chocolate candies, made from unique recipes, became a true gastronomic
delight for the event’s guests.

Art That Continues…

This evening is another bright chapter in the development of Art&Culture helps. Thanks to the support of
DAMEN, the “Dumitru Cuclin” Art High School, and many dedicated people, this initiative not only
preserves its tradition but is also actively developing, opening new artistic horizons.

Ahead are even more meetings and cultural discoveries that will support dialogue between the
communities of Ukraine, Romania, and Moldova. And who knows, perhaps you will become part of the next unforgettable evening?

“We are happy to have been able to give everyone warm emotions and unforgettable memories! Until we
meet again in the world of art!”
